The Environmental, Geographical and Geological Sciences division of the Department of Physical and Environmental Sciences took 38 students and seven faculty and staff from CU鈥檚 Bloomsburg and Mansfield campuses to visit the American Museum of Natural History in New York City on Friday, Sept. 25.

A photo-based scavenger hunt designed by EGGS faculty member Dr. Alan Gishlick sent teams of students scurrying around the museum, finding amazing specimens and exhibits connected to their disciplines while being introduced to the extraordinary depth and breadth of the museum's collections. Students in the Natural History Museum Conservation Certificate program also received a special behind-the-scenes tour of the extensive paleontology collection, courtesy of senior museum specialist Dr. Alana Gishlick. The day concluded with awards for the teams who solved the most clues, and still-warm Insomnia cookies for everyone.
